"Diabetes as Illness and Metaphor: Stories from the Body-Technology"
Jonathan Garfinkel is an internationally renowned author of poetry, plays and prose. He is currently doing a PhD in the field of Medical and Health humanities at the University of Alberta, where he is writing a literary memoir about living with type one diabetes and Loop, a DIY artificial pancreas system. He is the recipient of a SSHRC Bombardier Canada graduate scholarship for his research.
